Look at the existing wall
Loose plaster, cracks and moisture should be assessed before specifying a surface finish. Painting and structural repair are different interventions. Record the condition rather than assuming a coating will solve every defect.

Include access in the plan
Scaffolding, street occupation, protection and neighbouring properties can influence the programme. Clarify who arranges the required permissions and whether the quotation includes access equipment.
Confirm the finish
Agree the surface area, colour, preparation and coating cycle in writing. Weather and curing conditions should be considered in scheduling. Final inspection compares the work with the agreed scope, not only the chosen colour.
